Contemporary Dance for Children (8-14 years)
“Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements”
Through dynamic movement, creative and fun explorations, children will develop new dance skills in Contemporary Dance. The class environment allows for expression as well as building teamwork and trust amongst students, as they progress towards end of term parent presentations and stage performances. Children will learn greater flexibility, strength and expression in their movements and grow in physical confidence.
Whilst contemporary dance compliments classical ballet classes, children can enrol without practicing other dance styles. Our current class is aimed at children aged 8 –14 years.
My daughter absolutely loves the contemporary dance class! I cannot wait to see them in action.
